Dr. Taylor Heng started as an associate veterinarian at Columbus Small Animal Hospital in May 2021. She grew up in Nebraska City and attended UNL for her undergraduate studies. She graduated from the Nebraska-Iowa State Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Although she enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, Dr. Heng has special interests in dermatology, dentistry, and geriatric patient care.

Dr. Heng lives north of Osceola with her husband Jordan who is a cattle rancher. She has two sweet pups; JoJo is a blue heeler and australian shepherd mix and Dusty is a rescue pup. She has a special love for cats and her feline pets include a spicy orange kitty named Nelly Sue, a sweet gray tabby named Storm Warren, an outdoor barn kitty named Marci, and Columbus Small Animal Hospital’s clinic kitty named Willow.

In her spare time Dr. Heng enjoys reading mystery thrillers and traveling with her mom.

Dr. Ann earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 1983 and became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida, in 2008.

Previously, she and her husband Dr. Jim owned and operated the Fullerton Veterinary Hospital in Fullerton, NE. In 1996, they purchased the Columbus Small Animal Hospital in Columbus, NE, where she continues to work.

Dr. Ann has been an active member since 1983 and was the first female president of the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association in 2001. She was chosen as Nebraska‘s Veterinarian of the Year in 2013. Her professional interests include Veterinary Acupuncture and Small and Exotic Animal Medicine.

Dr Ann is a Master Gardener. Her interests also include Acrylic and Water Color Painting and reading. She is an active member of Peace Lutheran Church. The Kramers have two sons, William (Brystal) and Daniel and enjoy the company of their many pets.

Dr. Kaylee Potthoff started as an associate veterinarian at Columbus Small Animal Hospital in February 2025. She grew up in McCook, Nebraska and attended UNL for her undergraduate studies. She graduated from the Nebraska – Iowa State Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine in 2023. After graduation she practiced as a mixed animal veterinarian in Bowie, Texas, although her time was well spent in Texas, she is excited to be back in The Good Life state and be closer to family. Dr. Kaylee enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine with special interest in dermatology, rehabilitation, and behavior modification.
Dr. Kaylee lives in Columbus with her two dogs; Olive is a mixed breed rescue pup and Oakley is a miniature Australian Shepherd. In her free time Dr. Kaylee enjoys spending time with family and friends and helping on her family’s cattle ranch.
